Artist Infomation

류민자는 1970년 남편인 하인두와 함께 《부부전: 동양화전》을 개최하며 화단에 등단했다. 동양화가와 서양화가라는 서로 다른 장르의 경계를 넘어선 이 전시는 당시 화단의 주목을 받았으며, 이후 류민자는 불상과 탑, 산과 나무, 꽃 등을 주요 소재로 삼아 독자적인 조형세계를 구축해왔다. 불교 신자인 어머니를 따라 어린 시절부터 사찰을 접했던 경험은 초기 작업의 중요한 바탕이 되었으며, <화엄경>, <보살도>, <만다라>, <윤회>, <피안> 등 불교적 세계관을 담은 작품을 선보였다. 이후 눈앞의 자연과 인간에 대한 관심으로 작업의 범위를 확장하며 지속적인 변화를 이어왔다.

류민자의 작품은 동양화와 서양화, 종교와 자연, 성(聖)과 속(俗)의 경계를 자유롭게 넘나들며 대자연과 인간에 대한 사유를 담아낸다. 전통적인 한국화의 색채와 한지를 비롯해 아크릴과 캔버스 등 다양한 재료와 기법을 활용하며, 산과 나무, 꽃과 탑을 강렬하고 명료한 색채로 표현해 현실의 풍경 너머에 존재하는 이상향과 피안의 세계를 구현한다. 자연에서 얻은 생명력을 바탕으로 행복과 평온, 소망과 그리움 등의 정서를 화면에 담아내며, 관람자로 하여금 자연과 삶을 성찰하는 명상적인 경험을 선사한다. 한국화여성작가회장, 양평군립미술관장 등을 역임했으며 현재까지 꾸준히 작품 활동을 이어가고 있다.

Objects purchased in online auctions must be collected in person. Shipping may be requested if in-person collection is not possible. Shipping fees will be charged as below.

Additional fees may apply for unique delivery circumstances such as no-elevator (walk-up) buildings, ladder truck requirements, etc.

Parcel delivery is only available for select items at a fee of KRW 5,000 (KRW 10,000 for remote regions or Jeju Island.) Parcel delivery may not be available depending on the weight and value of item(s).
Luxury goods and musical instruments must be collected in person.
For in-person pickups, please contact your specialist by 5 pm of the day before to reserve pickup. (For weekends and holidays, pickup must be reserved by Friday or the last prior business day.)

- Prior appointment is mandatory for in-person collection.
- Standard passenger vehicles can accommodate artworks up to 90x120cm. Please take the measurements of your vehicle and the artwork into consideration.

A storage fee of KRW 30,000 per day will be charged for each lot that has not been collected 7 calendar days after purchase, regardless of whether the purchase price has been rendered in full.
