Artist Infomation

전혁림은 고향 통영과 부산을 중심으로 작품활동을 했으며, 독특한 색채와 풍경을 이루는 작품으로 ‘색채의 마술사’ 또는 ‘바다의 화가’로 불린다. 그는 바다와 관련된 소재들을 사용하여 작품을 만든다. 완벽한 자연은 이미 존재하고 있으므로 그는 고향 풍경의 느낌을 표현할 뿐이었다. 그는 단지 한국적 소재를 사용하는 것에서 나아가 이러한 소재들이 화면상에서 어떻게 구성될 수 있는지에 대한 원리를 관심 깊게 파헤친다. 여기에 색과 면에 대한 탐구를 통해 구상과 추상의 구분을 초월한 형태감이 더해져 작품에는 그만의 독특한 조형감각이 드러난다. 그는 화면을 구성할 때 동시에 화면 속의 공간을 드러나게끔 색을 구성한다. 색과 면을 합치시켜 표현의 기쁨을 직설적으로 드러내는 것이다.

"전혁림은 한사코 지방문화라는 것을 부정하지만, 그의 화면엔 충무라는 지역이 갖는 독특한 역사적 배경과 문화적 실존들이 가장 실감 있게 구현되어져 나오고 있음을 간파할 수 있다. 충무를 이야기할 때 그 어떤 예술보다도 한장의 전혁림이면 충분할 것 같이만 생각된다. 그는 충무라는 지방을 애써 들먹이지 않지만, 그의 작품은 충무라는 지역이 아니고선 생각할 수 없을 정도로 서로 침투되어 있는 상태이다. 미당의 시에 자신을 키운 것은 8할이 바람이었다는 절이 있는데, 전혁림의 예술을 키운 것은 8할 이상이 충무의 풍광이었지 않나 생각된다." - 오광수(미술평론가)

Additional fees may apply for unique delivery circumstances such as no-elevator (walk-up) buildings, ladder truck requirements, etc.

Parcel delivery is only available for select items at a fee of KRW 5,000 (KRW 10,000 for remote regions or Jeju Island.) Parcel delivery may not be available depending on the weight and value of item(s).
Luxury goods and musical instruments must be collected in person.
For in-person pickups, please contact your specialist by 5 pm of the day before to reserve pickup. (For weekends and holidays, pickup must be reserved by Friday or the last prior business day.)

A storage fee of KRW 30,000 per day will be charged for each lot that has not been collected 7 calendar days after purchase, regardless of whether the purchase price has been rendered in full.
