Artist Infomation

위에 민준은 오늘날 중국 현대미술을 대표하는 작가다. 자화상에 대한 독창적인 태도로 유명하다. 1962년 흑룡강성(黑龍江省) 대경(大慶)에서 태어난 이후 어린 시절을 베이징에서 보냈다. 고등학교를 졸업한 뒤 천진(天津)의 석유공장에서 일을 하다가 1985년 허베이사범대학 회화과에 입학하였다. 입학 이듬 해 ‘85 신사조 운동’에 동참하면서 미술가로서의 삶을 시작한다.

팡리쥔(方力钧, Fang Lijun, 1963-), 류웨이(Liu Wei,刘韡, 1972)와 함께 중국의 냉소적인 사실주의 작가로 분류된다. 과장된 제스처, 색상, 표정의 묘사는 팝아트와 초현실주의의 영향을 받은 듯 평가된다. 세상에 대한 조롱과 비판, 사회를 향해 냉소를 던지고 있는 그림 속 인물들은 차츰 그 자신으로 대체되기도 하였다. 자신을 모델로 한 그림 속 남자는 우스꽝스러운 복장에 요상한 몸짓을 한 채 입을 크게 벌리고 하얀 이를 드러내 보이며 과격하게 웃는다. 언뜻 유머러스하게 보이는 이 웃음은 중국의 급격한 변화 속에서 야기된 개인적, 사회적 혼란에 대한 반항과 슬픔, 분노와 체념이 뒤섞여 있다.

Parcel delivery is only available for select items at a fee of KRW 5,000 (KRW 10,000 for remote regions or Jeju Island.) Parcel delivery may not be available depending on the weight and value of item(s).
Luxury goods and musical instruments must be collected in person.
For in-person pickups, please contact your specialist by 5 pm of the day before to reserve pickup. (For weekends and holidays, pickup must be reserved by Friday or the last prior business day.)

A storage fee of KRW 30,000 per day will be charged for each lot that has not been collected 7 calendar days after purchase, regardless of whether the purchase price has been rendered in full.
