Artist Infomation

1991년 도쿄에서 태어난 나카무라 모모코(Momoko Nakamura)는 쿠와사와 디자인 스쿨 비주얼디자인과를 졸업한 후 그래픽 디자인 사무소에서 근무했으며, 이후 작가이자 일러스트레이터로 활동하고 있다. 책 표지와 잡지, 음악, 패션 브랜드의 텍스타일 등 다양한 분야에서 일러스트 작업을 선보이는 한편, 회화와 세라믹을 기반으로 한 작품 활동을 이어가고 있다. 주요 개인전으로 《nestle》(Lurf Museum, Tokyo, 2023) 등이 있다.

나카무라 모모코는 무표정한 여성과 꽃을 주요 모티프로 삼아 귀여움과 어딘가 불온하고 독특한 분위기가 공존하는 화면을 구축한다. 그래픽 디자인을 공부하고 디자이너로 활동했던 경험을 바탕으로 간결한 형태와 감각적인 색채 구성을 보여주며, 특히 인물의 감정을 직접적으로 드러내기보다 무표정한 얼굴을 통해 보는 이로 하여금 인물의 내면과 상황을 자유롭게 상상하도록 유도한다. 작가는 일상의 대화와 주변 사람들과의 관계에서 비롯된 감정과 에너지를 작업의 중요한 원천으로 삼으며, 직관적으로 떠오른 이미지를 빠르고 힘 있게 화면에 구현한다. 여성과 꽃이라는 익숙한 소재에 특유의 색감과 비정형적인 분위기를 결합함으로써 친근하면서도 묘한 긴장감을 지닌 독창적인 회화 세계를 형성하고 있다.

Objects purchased in online auctions must be collected in person. Shipping may be requested if in-person collection is not possible. Shipping fees will be charged as below.

Additional fees may apply for unique delivery circumstances such as no-elevator (walk-up) buildings, ladder truck requirements, etc.

Parcel delivery is only available for select items at a fee of KRW 5,000 (KRW 10,000 for remote regions or Jeju Island.) Parcel delivery may not be available depending on the weight and value of item(s).
Luxury goods and musical instruments must be collected in person.
For in-person pickups, please contact your specialist by 5 pm of the day before to reserve pickup. (For weekends and holidays, pickup must be reserved by Friday or the last prior business day.)

- Prior appointment is mandatory for in-person collection.
- Standard passenger vehicles can accommodate artworks up to 90x120cm. Please take the measurements of your vehicle and the artwork into consideration.

Storage

A storage fee of KRW 30,000 per day will be charged for each lot that has not been collected 7 calendar days after purchase, regardless of whether the purchase price has been rendered in full.
