Artist Infomation

1970년 베를리 태생의 독일 작가다. 현재 독일 베를린과 스페인 안달루시아에 거점을 두고 활동한다. 1999년 베를린의 공립 예술대학교(Berlin University of the Arts, Hochschule der Künste) 졸업 후 동대학원에 진학하여 게오르그 바젤리츠(Georg Baselitz, 1938~)와 짐 다인(Jim Dine, 1935~)에게서 그림을 공부했다. 이후 스페인 마드리드로 건너가 스페인 고전의 작품들을 보며 큰 영향을 받았다고 알려져 있다. 그의 작품은 손실과 공포, 폭력과 성욕, 파괴와 같은 어두운 주제들을 표현한다. 9·11 테러를 기점으로 현대 문명의 붕괴를 탐구하기 시작하는데 동성애의 논란, 기독교적 관점, 미술사적 논쟁 등 여러 관점을 색채의 집약적인 장면을 통해서 그려낸다. 독일 쾨니그 갤러리(König Galerie)를 중심으로 활발하게 활동하고 있다.

Parcel delivery is only available for select items at a fee of KRW 5,000 (KRW 10,000 for remote regions or Jeju Island.) Parcel delivery may not be available depending on the weight and value of item(s).
Luxury goods and musical instruments must be collected in person.
For in-person pickups, please contact your specialist by 5 pm of the day before to reserve pickup. (For weekends and holidays, pickup must be reserved by Friday or the last prior business day.)
