Artist Infomation

한편의 동화를 떠올리게 하는 그의 작품은 보편적 주제와 자신만의 독특한 인물 표현과 다채로운 색감으로 대중들에게 큰 인기를 얻고 있다. 2008년 첫 개인전을 시작으로 현재까지 30여 차례의 개인전을 가졌다. 2011년 LA Art Show 어메이징 아티스트에 선정되며 국내외 아트 페어에서 많은 주목을 받았다.

무명작가 시절 홍대 거리에서 사람들의 초상화를 그리고 액세서리를 판매하곤 하였는데 2008년에 첫 전시를 개최하자마자 '완판 작가'로 등극한다. 08년 이후 선화랑, 미르, 맥화랑 등 여러 곳에서 개인전을 개최하며 흥행하였고 최근에는 가나아트의 전속작가가 되며 상당한 인기를 구가하는 스타 작가가 되었다. 문형태의 작품은 흙으로 만든 듯한 특유의 질감과 색감, 아이가 그린 그림처럼 천진난만하게 표현된 인물과 단순한 공간 구도에서 바스키아와 같은 스트리트 아트의 감성이 느껴지기도 한다. 또 한편으로는 누구나 쉽게 공감할 수 있는 주제를 다루기 때문에, 대중에게 인지도가 높은 작가이기도 하다. 여기에 곳곳에 스며들어 있는 재치와 상상력, 귀여운 등장인물들이 만들어 내는 내러티브 등은 작품의 매력을 배가시킨다.

Additional fees may apply for unique delivery circumstances such as no-elevator (walk-up) buildings, ladder truck requirements, etc.

Parcel delivery is only available for select items at a fee of KRW 5,000 (KRW 10,000 for remote regions or Jeju Island.) Parcel delivery may not be available depending on the weight and value of item(s).
Luxury goods and musical instruments must be collected in person.
For in-person pickups, please contact your specialist by 5 pm of the day before to reserve pickup. (For weekends and holidays, pickup must be reserved by Friday or the last prior business day.)
